Autocorrect with formatted text in Word, an alternative to macros

Word autocorrectPimp the autocorrect feature in Word to save keystrokes. It’s easier than a macro!

  1. Type the desired text in a Word document, and format it as you like.
  2. Highlight the text.
  3. Open Autocorrect under the Tools menu. The highlighted word will be in the “with” field.
  4. Enter your shortcut in the “replace” field. For the name of this blog, I use rapb, for example.
  5. Select the Formatted Text option.
  6. Click OK.
